Holy mobile high-def display: LG announced its Spectrum 4G phone that will have a "True HD" display. The phone, available Jan. 19 from Verizon, has a 4.5-inch screen with a resolution of 1,280-by-729 pixels.

The screen has 329 pixels per inch, meaning it outdoes the iPhone 4S' 326 pixels per inch. ESPN's Sport Center app will come loaded on the Spectrum, letting sports fans enjoy high-def content.

The phone also has an 8-megapixel camera that can shoot up to 1080p video.

The Spectrum comes with an older version of the Android operating system, Gingerbread, but LG said users will be able to upgrade to the newest version, 4.0, or Ice Cream Sandwich.

LG's Spectrum will cost $199.99 with a two-year contract.
